Privacy Policy

Last updated: 1 June 2026

Focus Matrix is a browser extension that turns your new tab into an Eisenhower Matrix with a built-in Pomodoro timer. This policy explains what data the extension handles and how.

The short version

Data stored on your device

The extension stores your tasks, projects, settings, and productivity history locally in your browser's storage. This never leaves your device unless you choose to enable sync.

Optional cross-device sync

If you turn on Sync across devices in Settings, the extension signs you in with your Google account and stores a copy of your tasks, projects, and settings in Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore), so they stay in sync across the browsers where you are signed in.

What we do NOT do

Deleting your data

You are in control of your data at any time:

Children's privacy

Focus Matrix is a general-purpose productivity tool and is not directed at children under 13.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the "Last updated" date above will be revised. Material changes will be reflected in the extension's listing.
